Finding Solutions for Our Future

NAEJA-RGM Pharmaceuticals Inc. is an early-stage drug discovery company committed to working on novel solutions to the growing problem of drug-resistant bacteria.

What We Do

Since Alexander Fleming discovered penicillin in 1928, there has been a continuous battle between bacteria and antibiotics for supremacy. Over time, bacteria are driven to develop resistance to effective treatments. Science is continually challenged to find new solutions.

Drug Resistance is Growing

In late 2016, the World Health Organization (WHO) determined that antibiotic resistance is one of the biggest threats to global health today and could cost the global economy up to $20 billion in treatment costs.

More recently, the developing threat of drug-resistant bacteria comes from gram negative bacteria - virulent bacteria that are more difficult to treat. NAEJA-RGM Pharmaceuticals is seeking innovative new ways to counter this threat.
